Life Size LEGO Vehicles Take Over Ancient Rome
Give your childhood creations some historic context.
Ever wonder what your LEGO toys would look like in real life, against the historic backdrop of Rome? Well Italian photographer Domenico Franco has done just that. In a series of photographs, enlarged LEGO minifigures of race cars, vans, trains, Lamborghinis, helicopters and tractor trailers are placed amidst iconic scenes such as the Colosseum, giving “a glance across the contemporary city with irony and disillusion.” For LEGO fans, these conspicuous vehicles make the idyllic streets of Rome a little more ideal, or at the very least, a bit more humorous.
