Watch Cavaliers' Kevin Love as He Sets a New NBA Record
An insane game.
Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love set an NBA record for points in a first quarter by scoring 34 points and knocking down eight three-pointers on Wednesday night against the Portland Trail Blazers. Looking at his shot chart, Love made 11 of 14 field goal attempts, including a career-high eight three-pointers in 10 attempts, making his first six shots, and was 4-of-4 from the free throw line. Love fell three points shy of the league record for points in any quarter, set by Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson, who scored 37 back in January of 2015.
The Cavs went on to beat the Trail Blazers 137-125. Check out the insane video above. And in case you missed it, Michael Jordan was presented the Medal of Freedom on Tuesday night. Check out the festivities here.
