A Saint Petersburg Department Store Dedicates a Room to Selfies
A room “dedicated to self-reflection and the art of selfies.”

Hong Kong-based archi firm Cheungvogl has added a “selfie-room” to Au Pont Rouge, a historical 110 year-old department store in Saint Petersburg. It’s placed in the retail concept’s spa and treatment areas, where visitors can “create a stage to feel like performers, models and directors of the self-image.” Cheungvogl goes further on to describe the room as one “dedicated to self-reflection (literally) and the art of selfies.” The tunnel-like hallway features a side of long mirrors reflecting a white wall intended to shoot off indirect light for that perfectly shadowless face. We definitely need to build more of these.
