A Closer Look at the ‘Toy Story’ x Vans Footwear Collection

To infinity and beyond with Vans’ latest collection.

Disney and Pixar have teamed up with Vans on a collection of nostalgic and colorful kicks featuring our favorite characters from Toy Story. The animated film series starring Andy’s beloved toys such as Woody, Buzz Lightyear and more made its debut in 1995. Since then, the series has spawned two more sequels following the lovable toys that come alive when no one’s around.

Reimagining these characters’ signature looks and features into Vans’s range of iconic shoes, the collection features a Sk8-Hi Reissue PT rendered in full-grain brown leather mimicking Woody’s leather boots with custom cactus embroidery. An Old Skool made to Woody’s image has been revamped to include denim and cow skin-printed side panels, complemented by a brown side stripe.

For Buzz Lightyear, Star Command has channeled his features into a Sk8-Hi Reissue with details that glow in the dark, in addition to an Old Skool that features a white, green and purple palette reminiscent of Buzz’s spacesuit. The latter pair even features hand-drawn screws and colorful eyelets, all finished off with a matching purple outsole.

Each pair of Woody and Buzz-inspired sneakers feature a very special element — Andy’s signature on the outsole as seen in the original Toy Story movie. Other styles include sneakers paying homage to the Aliens, Hamm, Slinky Dog, Rex and Bo Peep. Rounding it all off is a range of apparel and accessories. Shop the collection now at Vans retailers worldwide and online.
