The Original 'Space Jam' Is Officially Coming Back to Theaters
In celebration of the cult classic’s 20th anniversary.

With a LeBron James-centered sequel currently in the works, the Space Jam franchise has been receiving a significant amount of renewed interest in recent months. Now, the original film will be once again heading to theaters. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 1996 cult classic, Fathom Events will be bringing Space Jam to 450 U.S. movie theaters and putting together a two-day re-release. Calling the Michael Jordan-starring flick a timeless “family favorite,” Fathom Events vice president of studio relations Tom Lucas explains this new opportunity to revisit the big-screen glory of Space Jam as “the perfect chance for audiences of all ages to view the film as it was meant to be seen.” For fans who are interested, this anniversary event will take place on Sunday, November 13 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. and on Wednesday, November 16 at 7 p.m. Visit the Fathom Events website for more details.
