Watch a KAWS Sculpture Come Together in This Preview for the Artist's Yorkshire Sculpture Park Exhibition
The ten-meter tall, ironically-titled SMALL LIE.
We’ve seen teasers and previews, but it appears that American pop artist KAWS is now gearing up for his first UK museum exhibition at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Longside Gallery in earnest. The show features commanding pieces of freestanding bronze, fiberglass, aluminum and wood sculpture, as well as the artist’s renowned bright canvas work. The YSP’s landscape will house six hulking sculptures, all of which carry the artist’s signature skull-and-crossbones motifs while toying with recognizable characters, like the 10-meter-tall 2013 work SMALL LIE. Watch the video above to see how the piece comes together ahead of its exhibition and be sure to stop by once the show opens — it runs from February 6 until June 12.
