Watch Jerry Seinfeld's Five-Minute 'Late Show' Stand-Up Set
Warming up for his year-long Beacon Theater residency.
Jerry Seinfeld — whom you might know from his roles as “Jerry Seinfeld” on Seinfeld and “Jerry Seinfeld” on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee — is starting a year-long residency at New York’s Beacon Theater where he will be performing once a month for 12 months. In preparation, the living legend stopped by Stephen Colbert’s Late Show to cut his teeth with a tight, five-minute set. Jerry’s food-centric riff features the comic’s signature observations, namely on the metaphysical connotations of donut holes, buffets vs. TV dinners, and America’s ongoing weight problem. The latter even includes a joke about obese pedestrians recognizing themselves on TV that is similar to a years-old Jim Gaffigan bit.
It just wouldn’t be right for one of kings of comedy to return without courting a little controversy, right? Check the set out above, and head over to the Beacon Theatre website for tickets if you’d like to catch this and other rants and ravings live.
