'Call of Duty: Black Ops III' Releases a Third Zombie Map
Hoards of zombies and even a dragon, apparently.
Following the announcement last year of “The Giant” zombies bonus map, Call of Duty: Black Ops III releases yet another campaign against the undead with the latest “Der Eisendrache” addition. As a follow-up to the crowd-favorite map, “Der Riese,” the latest iteration follows the Origin characters (Richtofen, Nicolai, Takeo and Dempsey) as they embark on their treacherous mission. Set against the backdrop of an unnerving medieval castle in the midst of a frigid winter, unspeakable horrors are unleashed on the team as they discover mass amounts of Element 115 – and thus, zombies. As we see in the new gameplay trailer, COD fans can expect to see a sinister environment filled with hoards of the walking dead, as well as a dragon, apparently, as seen in the footage. “Der Eisendrache” will be released alongside the forthcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops III Awakening DLC pack, debuting on Playstation 4 on February 2 with launches over other next-gen platforms to follow.
