BMW Is the Best-Selling Luxury Car Brand in the U.S.
… Once again.

BMW has taken the crown with the best sales figures in the U.S. luxury car segment for 2015. Having managed to sell 346,023 units, the German manufacturer marked a 1.7 percent growth in its overall U.S. sales. Despite a 17 percent fall in sales last December, this is still a significant indicator that BMW is staying on top and will remain a powerful brand worldwide. As for the top-selling model, it’s the BMW X5, of which 54,997 were sold — a 17 percent jump from the previous year. Making its debut in 2015 was BMW’s foray into electric vehicles, the i3. This car sold over 11,000 vehicles. Also noteworthy is the significant jump in sales of BMW’s M brand, which saw 16 percent jump from 2014. Coming in second is Lexus (344,601 vehicles sold), followed by Mercedes-Benz (343,088 vehicles sold) and lastly, Audi (202,202 vehicles sold).
