Instagram Overhauls Direct
Instagram has made a couple of major changes to Direct.
Originally launched back in 2013, Instagram Direct has been given a major overhaul by the social media platform as a part of the app’s latest update. Users will now have access to threaded messages, thus making it infinitely easier to go back and forth with the people they interact with most. Now, instead of creating a new conversation every time you send a photo or video, your shared moments will flow along much more naturally. You can also name your groups and reply with jumbo emojis while a quick camera feature allows you to respond with a selfie on the fly. Perhaps best of all, you can now easily share content that pops up in your feed by simply pressing the newly-added arrow icon that appears next to the like and comment icons under every post.
The Instagram Direct updates are available as a part of Instagram version 7.5, which is available now for both iOS and Android.
