Samsung Teases Its Gear S2 Smartwatch
A glimpse of Samsung’s upcoming timepiece.
While the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ were undoubtedly the highlight of Samsung’s Unpacked 2015 today, one of the more noteworthy surprises from the event was a brief glimpse at the tech giant’s latest smartwatch. Dubbed the Gear S2, the model appears to be a major upgrade over the original Gear S as it offers a much more stylish look with a round face, metal construction and a completely new user interface. Though virtually nothing is known about the device at this time, the Gear S2 likely runs Samsung’s own Tizen operating system — the original Gear S was powered by Android Wear — and will see a full unveiling next month at IFA Berlin.
