Microsoft's NewsCast App Will Read the News for You
Your own personal newsreader.
Microsoft is working on a new app that will collate a playlist of news stories and read them back to you according to Engadget. Newscast, created by the Bing team, is set to make commutes more productive, allowing the user to get on with different tasks whilst catching up on the latest news. The app reportedly uses Bing’s text-to-speech program and reads out summaries that last 30 seconds each. Whilst the app was momentarily available for download on the Microsoft Azure domain, it has since been taken down. Find out more about the app’s testing stage here.
