A Former Dr. Pepper Bottling Plant Has Been Transformed Into a Winery
Step inside Jet City Wines.
A former Dr. Pepper bottling plant in Georgetown, Seattle has been transformed into a contemporary winery and events space by entrepreneur Charles Smith and Olson Kundig Architects. The 2014 Wine Enthusiast’s global winemaker of the year has built Jet City Wines to create a vibrant and interactive multipurpose space within view of Boeing Field and Mount Rainier. “First and foremost,” Smith explained to CoolHunting, “I am a winemaker and this is a winery, but because of the space afforded here we can do so much more. The open floor space where the tanks are and barrels—that’s the heart of it.
