For many of us, the Goosebumps book series was an integral part of our childhood. R.L. Stine’s collection of 42 horror fiction novels and its Canadian TV show counterpart were immensely popular in the ’90s, and this year we’ll be seeing its first-ever film adaptation. The Rob Letterman-directed Goosebumps movie stars Jack Black as a fictional character of author R.L. Stine, whose niece Hannah — played by Odeya Rush — befriends the boy next door Zach — played by Dylan Minnette. When Zach accidentally unlocks the Goosebumps collection of monsters onto the town, the three work together to capture them. While the new adaptation brings all monsters of the Goosebumps universe together, the film is more family-friendly than horror genre. Goosebumps will be hitting theatres this October.
