Thundercat - Them Changes
The Los Angeles-based virtuoso drops the first single off of his upcoming mini-album.
After working alongside Kendrick Lamar to great effect on the critically acclaimed To Pimp a Butterfly, Los Angeles-based virtuoso Thundercat is back with a brand new single. Our first taste of what can be expected from his upcoming Brainfeeder “mini-album” The Beyond/Where the Giants Roam, “Them Changes” sees Thundercat on bass and vocals and pairs him with Flying Lotus on the keys, Dennis Hamm on piano and Kamasi Washington — whose aptly-named three-disc The Epic is more than worth your time — on saxophone. Give the funky track a spin above and look for The Beyond/Where the Giants Roam — which will include six brand new tracks and feature additional appearances by the likes of Herbie Hancock, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson and Mono/Poly — to be available digitally beginning Monday, June 22.
