Contemporary Japanese staple Engineered Garments doesn’t do footwear collaborations too often; the brand’s partnership with Vans happens annually at best. Quality over quantity, or something like that. As such, when Engineered Garments unveiled its recent collaboration with historic Maine-based footwear label Rancourt – top-choice for boat-manning Northeastern Ivy Leaguers – it represents the establishment of a new aesthetic. The collection is comprised of two slick styles, the low-top Ranger Moc and the Climber Boot, both of which are executed with premium shell cordovan leather by Horween. The shoes also rest atop rigid Vibram outsoles, ensuring lasting durability. Definitely on the dapper side of dandy, pick up these releases from retailers such as Nepenthes doors in New York and Japan.
