Manifested as Infiniti‘s vision for the future of its sports coupe line, the Q60 Concept was initially debuted in January of this year, wowing onlookers with its potent design language and aggressively styled exterior. Since then, the proof-of-concept has been making its rounds internationally to exhibit Infiniti’s bold new direction, with Hong Kong being the latest to receive the car.
Arriving in a nondescript container at a shipping port, a team of dockers worked to untether the delivery from its harness, in the process gradually unveiling the deep double-arch grille with its elaborate waved mesh pattern, the peering LED headlamps, the sleek Arctic Aluminum paint job, and the domineering 21-inch high gloss black chrome wheels. The car’s deep shoulders and rear haunches have a biological quality about them, lending a muscular physique to the aerodynamic body and befitting the next-generation 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine with direct injection.
Meanwhile, the interior of the vehicle continues the powerful lines of the body, juxtaposing premium hand-stitched leather accents and upholstery with an evocative two-tone instrument panel that closer resembles an aircraft cockpit than a land-bound coupe. Mediating the raw power of the car is the Infiniti Direct Adaptive Steering system allowing independent control of the car’s tire angle and steering inputs, as well as the Infiniti InTuition system which allows full customization of the vehicle settings for four individual driver profiles.
Having made its way to Infiniti’s Hong Kong showroom, the Q60 Concept will be available for viewing until June 11.
