Drones are already cool enough as is, but a group in Australia is taking their love for the unmanned aircrafts to the next level by developing their own underground sport known as FPV or first person view racing. Racers use special goggles that give them a drone’s-eye view so they can manoeuvre their aircraft around a set course, racing against the clock and other drones. Because there are strict regulations for operating drones in open airspace, the races have to take place indoors which is why these events are often held in abandoned warehouses and other similar spaces. However, many participants hope that one day drone racing can become a full-on sport in Australia. This is like a video game on steroids; check out the crazy video above.
