Watch the Trailer for Fox's New TV Show 'Lucifer'

Set to premiere on FOX next year, upcoming TV show Lucifer reimagines Lord of the Underworld Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) as a bored playboy who has escaped the eternal confines of hell to run a nightclub in the City of Angels. However, the murder of a beautiful pop star outside of his nightclub, along with mounting pressure from God’s emissary Amenadiel calling for his return, sparks a change in his demeanour to get to the bottom of the starlet’s murder, with the help of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Dancer (Lauren German). Based off the original comic by Neil Gaiman, the show is written by Tom Kapinos, creator of Californication, and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
