The assembled Japanese craftsman group [THE UNION] has released its 2015 spring/summer lookbook. The collection draws inspiration from vintage American blue-collar fashion, and has been executed to convey what is being described as an “old-school Japanese” interpretation of the since defunct, menswer selections. Pictured looks revolve around staple articles of clothing such as checkered flannels; tied bandanas, loose-fitting overalls, blue denim, wrapped scarves, and beanies, convincingly portraying the intended time period. The piece’s flowing silhouettes, coupled with the addition of a flashy pair of translucent shades, and rolled trousers effectivey add a distinct Japanese flair to the cohesively succint, strong presentation. Hear Makita Kohei narrate the brand’s vision in the introductory video provided.
