As an introduction to a specially crafted collaborative silhouette with Palace Skateboards, adidas has released its official launch trailer for the adidas PALACE Pro and PALACE Pro Primeknit. Creatively directed by Lev Tanju and starring British grime artist D Double E as the hypnotic voice of reason, the psychedelic ensemble of contradicting words and flashing backgrounds does well to lull the viewer into not wanting to miss out on “almost definitely one of the best trainers to come out this month.”
Each shoe has been constructed from a mix of casual design cues with the sole and molded tongue of the classic 1968 Gazelle Indoor silhouette — once again intertwining soccer references into Palace’s continued partnership with adidas. Four silhouettes will be made available worldwide on May 16 with two bearing a special Primeknit upper. Designed to be skated, each model comes equipped with advanced heel counter support, perforated paneling for added breathability, high-grip soles, and a monochromatic color palette that once again references past collaborations with hints of silver. Stay tuned to Palace’s website for further information.
