PacSun Pulls A$AP Rocky T-Shirt on Memorial Day After Social Media Backlash

On Memorial Day, PacSun took the chance to bring to the window front its T-shirt collaboration series with A$AP Rocky. One design featured an upside-down American flag, which disturbed customers due to what it represents. As the United States Flag Code states, the flag should only be displayed upside-down to signal distress or danger. Angry customers took to the retailer’s Facebook page to voice out their discontent, suggesting the shameful act to be disrespectful to the country’s veterans. The retail giant — who has previously partnered with the likes of Been Trill and Kanye West’s Yeezy tour on a slew of merchandise – has since removed the A$AP Rocky collaborative tee from its inventory.
