Even though Major Lazer are still promoting their forthcoming album Peace is the Mission, they’re already planning their next full-length project. During a recent exchange with InTheMix, Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire said the following regarding their plans after the June 1 drop of Peace is the Mission:
“For sure, we’re gonna release another album. We already have a name for it, it’s called Music is the Weapon, and it’s gonna come out later this year or early next year for sure… It’ll have a few more club songs, a few more festival songs…but it’ll be in the same spectrum, just super-well-written songs with really great production that the entire world can understand.”
But, that doesn’t mean their promotional blitz for their new LP has slowed down any bit. In the past month alone, they’ve shared new songs and videos. They even scooped up Andy Sandberg for an over-the-top, animated video.
