On April 16, HYPETRAK joined forces with New York fashion retailer J.Crew to kick start a new music and fashion initiative, taking place in the brand’s Hong Kong outpost. Located in Central’s On Lan Street — the city’s retail and business pulse — the men’s store, a rustic three-storey brick and mortar, became the stomping ground for a specially-curated night of music and mingling. Locally renowned DJ Simon Pang Washford took to the turntables, spinning a wide variety of new and old-school favorites, hip-hop, funk and jazz. The creative community passed through to check out J.Crew’s latest 2015 spring/summer styles, and selected goods from New Balance, adidas, Han Kjobenhavn and Suolo. To complement the great vibe, catering was provided by American and Mexican eatery Boomshack, serving delicious finger foods and microbrew to attendees. Check out a quick recap of the event above along with Washford’s Essentials, and be on the lookout for forthcoming events.
