Shayne Oliver’s Hood By Air is well known for its distinctive mash-up of club culture, sport and high fashion, and for Spring/Summer 2015, the New York-based brand extends this unmistakable aesthetic to its latest footwear range. Most notable this season is the return of the Avalanche Boot, a silhouette that takes inspiration from icons as diverse as Timberland’s 6-inch boot, Tinker Hatfield’s Nike Air Huarache and Air Jordan VII, and the Nike Air Yeezy 2. Crafted once again by Italian footwear brand Forfex, the Avalanche arrives in two all-white styles for the warm season — a lace-up version and a double-zip alternative — and features luxurious deerskin uppers, an Air Huarache-style heel strap, ankle cut-out details, and a chunky rubber sole unit.
