Back in March, Forbes delivered an inaugural roster of “Hip-Hop’s Cash Princes.” Now, over a year after sharing their 2014 picks, Forbes is publishing its 2015 list, The Forbes Five: Hip-Hop’s Wealthiest Artists 2015. While these names probably won’t come as big surprises, it does show that 50 Cent has jumped ahead of Birdman in the race to become hip-hop’s wealthiest. Still, nothing has really changed: Diddy, Dre and Jay are still the kings. As always, Diddy tops the list and towers ahead of the competition. Forbes’ reasoning for Diddy’s continued dominance is that the mogul-of-many-trades has participated in a variety of different, lucrative ventures and entered into various successful deals with several companies. You can check out the full list, in numerical order, below. Head on over to Forbes’ website to read the full piece.
1. Diddy – $735 million
2. Dr. Dre – $700 million
3. Jay Z – $550 million
4. 50 Cent – $155 million
5. Birdman – $150 million
