Yesterday, on Twitter, Dev Hynes shared 46 minutes of new music “for you to zone out to” from a movie score he was working on. All of the unfinished project is written, produced and performed by Hynes using a cello, piano, synthesizers, percussion, drum machines, flute, bass, guitar, EWI, Yamaha wx7, Juno 160, DX7 and Marantz PMD 720 4-track. Within the description on the YouTube video, Hynes very diplomatically explains, “I spent the last few months working on a film score, then I got fired. No hard feelings. Here’s some of the music. Listen & zone out if you want.”
