Resort season is the time for a lot of designers to flex their chops on their color palette, with the season itself structured around lavish trips to warm, tropical locales. Karl Lagerfeld doesn’t exactly shy away from this exuberant attitude in his latest collection with Chanel, here showing off a range of lightweight, unstructured garments for the brand’s Resort 2016 collection. Based around a color palette of cream, sunwashed blue and shades of red, the collection is comprised of jaunty wide-legged trousers and relaxed patchwork blazers. These pieces are underscored by dope statement pieces such as a patterned silk tunic, which looks about perfect for either beach cruises or city charades. Enjoy a look at the collection above and head on to Chanel’s website to peruse its current selection.
