Sotheby's to Partner With Drake for Upcoming Exhibition and Sale
Multinational corporation and auction house Sotheby’s have officially announced their latest

Multinational corporation and auction house Sotheby’s have officially announced their latest partnership with Toronto-born recording artist, Drake. Renowned as one of the world’s largest fine and decorative art brokers, amongst many other attributes, Sotheby’s has introduced their latest partnership as a focus on private sales. Drake has since been enlisted to curate the soundtrack for their upcoming “Black Americans” sale and although he is not getting paid for his services according to The New York Times, Sotheby’s have chosen him as they believe him to be one of today’s “foremost cultural tastemakers.” The exhibition is set to include roughly 20 pieces from a list of influential black artists including that of Nick Cave and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
The event will run from April 28 to June 12 at Sotheby’s New York headquarters. How do you feel Drake will perform as a musical curator to such a notably historic auction?
