Cultural video production site NOWNESS has premiered its latest short documentary titled, Skateboarding in Palestine. The insightful clip provides an overview of SkatePal’s work, a Scotland-based charity, which has built three parks across Palestine region in the last two years. Working towards the end goal of establishing a skate community in the impoverished country by offering young children lessons, and passing down the familiar spirit of camaraderie through skating, seasoned boarders Luke Murphy, Martin O’Grady, Harry Gerrard and Sam Dearden, were joined by filmmaker Sirus Gahan, who captured their latest trip to Gaza. You can learn more about SkatePal by clicking over to their official website, where you can also donate to the cause under charity code SC044815.
