Dabs Myla Redesign the MTV Movie Awards Logo

The MTV Movie Awards is slated to hit the air April 12, and as we approach the one month countdown, MTV has unveiled its logo for the bash. Once again tapping talented artists for their creative juices, Dabs Myla have designed the logo for this year’s event. You may remember that KAWS was commissioned for last year’s VMAs logo, so it’s no surprise that the television channel has fused music and art again with this collaboration. The Los Angeles-based couple will also be creating some installations for the big event. The duo told MTV News, “We wanted to make something really bold and energetic that reflected our personal style as well as the classic aesthetic of MTV. We also wanted to have a few elements like the cityscape and moon that could reference some of the parts of the set design for the show, but broke them right down into graphic elements to fit the logo,” which is manifested in an eye-catching and bold logo for this year’s show.
