Last year, Hong Kong lifestyle boutique GUMGUMGUM re-opened its doors in a new location in Causeway Bay. The new outpost also saw the unveiling of GUM”JENG!,” an in-store cafe that offers a mix of Western treats and classic Hong Kong street snacks.For their one year anniversary, Hong Kong vinyl toy designer Michael Lau presents the “ALEX” Pack. Following design motifs seen in his Gardener series, especially the Terry Richardson-inspired Gardener 108 “I LOVE ZEX” toy, the pack consists of two figures that resemble characteristics of marine-turned-underwear model Alex Minsky. Both designs feature Minsky’s trademark tattoos, his prosthetic leg, and exaggerated features that match with his racy persona. Priced at $200 USD, the GUMGUMGUM x GUM”JENG!” x Michael Lau 1st Anniversary “ALEX” Pack is limited to 299 releases, and is available for pre-orders now from GUMGUMGUM.
