Coachella and Lollapalooza Bans Selfie Sticks

Coachella and Lollapalooza have explicitly banned selfie sticks from their festivals this year. News of the restriction comes just two weeks before the first weekend of Coachella on April 10, forcing festival-goers to capture footage and live experiences the old-fashioned way without the use of “GoPro attachments like sticks, selfie sticks & monopods,” as stated in Lollapalooza’s FAQ. While both Coachella and Lollapalooza have explicitly banned selfie sticks, similar festivals including Governor’s Ball and Bonnaroo have yet to decide on a future ban.
