Watch aficionados looking to delve into the smartwatch realm will be excited to see the new Breitling B55 “Connected Chronograph.” The new style from the storied watchmaker sees a traditional chronograph fitted with digital capabilities, able to connect to a mobile device app via Bluetooth with multiple extended functionalities. Using the app, the wearer can adjust the time easily, setting timezones, alarms and parameters through your phone. The B55 is a digital rendition of Breitling’s B50 caliber, a superquartz with electronic multifunction chronograph movement, with both analog and digital displays, originally released in 2014. The B55 features an all-over titanium case, with an electronic tachometer, an LCD backlit display, and a countdown/count up system. Check out the video above for a look at this new and thoughtful approach to smartwatches, signaling the digital world merging with traditional Swiss watchmaking.
