With the aim of bringing more convenience to the public in one of the world’s most densely populated cities, Japan has introduced a new bicycle parking system in Tokyo. Featuring a highly advanced underground mechanism, the automatic bike parker starts with an elevator at ground floor. The user then attaches the bicycle to a line, which reels the bike in before descending it down into a well to file it underground for safekeeping. The whole process takes around 16 seconds, providing guaranteed protection, anti-theft capabilities, and a more efficient way to park your bicycle. Check out the video above to see the process.
