Nicki Minaj's Tour Manager Murdered in Philadelphia

Some sad news today out of Nicki Minaj‘s camp. Minaj’s current tour manager De’Von Pickett was fatally injured in a bar fight that took place early this morning. The incident happened at Che Bar & Grill, an establishment in the West Oak Lane neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. NBC 10 is reporting that it all stemmed from an “argument” within the bar involving Pickett and another member of Nicki’s team, who was also injured but expected to survive. The conflict later spread to outside, where an unidentified, “around 30 years old” suspect drew a knife and stabbed both Pickett and his companion. Nicki Minaj took to social media to memorialize her manager and friend, tweeting:

Two members of my team were stabbed last night in Philly. One was killed. They had only been there for two days rehearsing for the tour.

Nicki also posted up a picture of Pickett on her Instagram, with the caption:

#Rp @myfabolouslife – these guys flew into Philly for my tour rehearsals 2 days ago and were both stabbed last night. #RIPDAYDAY condolences to your family. Unbelievable. Eric (on the right) is recovering. Another senseless act of violence that took the life of a great guy. So sad.
