It may sound like something out of a sci-fi flick, but Swedish tech company Tobii has just announced that the upcoming PC version of Assassin’s Creed Rogue will be the first blockbuster game on the market to support its eye-tracking technology. The Steel Series Sentry eye-tracking device will allow users to control the game’s camera: if you look somewhere on the screen, the game’s character will do the same, and if you look away from the game, it will pause play. Tobii’s products have several applications outside of gaming, including providing people with disabilities alternative methods to communicate, but this will be one of the first times this type of technology is integrated into a major commercial product. Assassin’s Creed Rogue launched on consoles last year, with the PC version coming sometime in 2015.
