Love him or not, Kanye West has become quite the icon over these years. From the onset of his career he has been notorious for his expressive remarks, which he felt “marginalized” him within the public perception. For over a decade, we’ve witnessed his outbursts to be matter-of-fact and direct (albeit not entirely without merit), having criticized George Bush’s alleged unconcern for minorities, Taylor Swift for her undeserving VMAs win, Sway for his lack of answers, and most recently, the GRAMMYs for “diminishing art and not respecting the craft.” Whether creativity is far from the only qualifying trait for one to be able to attend the GRAMMYs or to win an award or not, Kanye seems strongly frustrated at how much he feels this artistically valuable attribute is undermined. While jumping on stage and taking over microphones may not be the most usual way to voice an opinion, we came up with an option that we think both he and like-minded viewers could both benefit from: Kanye West should host the GRAMMYs next year. From that we’d assume that Yeezy would be able to openly express his opinions on the performances, nominees and winners, ensuring us for an entertaining, educational and, hopefully uninterrupted watch.
