There have been graphs that showed us the “favorite artists by state” in the U.S. before. However, they focused on artists that each state listened to disproportionately more than other states. Music Machinery has now generated a map of each state’s favorite artist by compiling streaming data from The Echo Nest. As you can see above, Hova is reigning supreme in the East, while Macklemore and Ryan Lewis dominate the Northwest — as well as Massachussetts. Daft Punk is numero uno in California while Drake is trending in some states Down South. Who’s your state feeling the most?
