Brave the Rain in This Specially Designed Bike Poncho
Look rain in the face and say, “Not today.”
Rain is the worst nightmare for bike commuters — at once, with the first sign of showers, one must retire their trusty steed in favor of public transportation, or bike home one-handed while balancing an umbrella in the other, risking personal safety in the process. However, the Red Dot Design Award-winning makers of the VANMOOF bicycle have now thrown their industrial design prowess in tackling this age-old dilemma in the form of the Boncho, which is a compact, foldable poncho that combines a rainproof yet breathable hood with a canopy that covers the handlebars to keep the rider dry in all but the fiercest rainstorms. Available in turquoise and grey, the Boncho’s Kickstarter has already exceeded its funding goal, so expect it to hit retail locations in March 2016.
