Timberland Catches up With A$AP Bari Who Wears the New Highway Super Boot

Among the winterized Jordans, Chuck Taylors and sneakerboots that have come to dominate the Fall/Winter 2015 footwear lineup comes Timberland‘s newly revamped, winter-proof, 9-inch Super Boot that’s built to withstand the harshest of climates. Originally released in ‘79, the Super Boot (often called the “40 Below”) is reintroduced as a limited edition model that’s constructed with a waterproof, premium upper in a rich chocolate brown colorway.
A$AP Bari aka Young Lord appears in Timberland’s latest zine issue for a short interview and photoshoot of him wearing the new boot. Photographer Shaniqwa Jarvis snapped the A$AP Mob co-founder and creative director as part of a modern workspace-themed photo series.
On his career:
“My job is a creative director and it’s an extension of my life. The few first things I ever did were Rocky’s “Purple Swag” video and a video project for Stussy [and BAPE].”
On his favorite clothing item:
“It’s gotta be denim. But not one pair—whatever pair of jeans I wear depends on what kind of mood I’m in.”
Timberland’s new Highway Super Boot will be dropping December 11 online in limited quantities.
