MR. OLIVE 2016 Spring/Summer Collection Brings a Vintage Appeal
Japanese interpretation of American cultural relics.
Japanese label MR. OLIVE brings us photography from its upcoming 2016 spring/summer collection, drawing inspiration from U.S. ’70s styling and culture. Apparently consulting 1973 George Lucas film American Graffiti for design inspiration, the brand brings forth a subtle understanding of Midwestern style ethics like bowling and aloha shirts, indigo pairings with paisley, pin-striping, and more. Additionally, more modern aspects can be seen as well which include technical fabrics found in its outerwear, print graphics and force-weathered wearing for an aged look to brand new items. Check out the imagery above and look back at MR. OLIVE’s current 2015 fall/winter collection which focused more on American gruff styling.
