Google's Performing Arts Exhibition Gives You the Best Seat in the House
See what it’s like to sit with the orchestra.
Google’s Cultural Institute Performing Arts project is giving users the opportunity to sit onstage at venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Berliner Philharmoniker and Sao Paolo’s Teatro Municipal. Rehearsals and performances range from famous pieces of music, drama and opera, from Beethoven to Shakespeare’s Henry V and even Aphex Twin. The shows were all filmed with several 360° camera rigs that the viewer can pull and drag and switch between at will, with several perspectives to choose from. This makes for an immersive and unique night at the theater without having to leave the comfort of your own laptop screen. Go to the Performing Arts landing page to experience a performance now.
