Twenty-five years after The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air premiered on television, the Fresh Prince himself sits down with GQ for a retrospective look on the most outrageous outfits worn in his younger years. “I blame my friends… you can’t wear a half-shirt on national television” muses Smith, referring to a crop top he wore in one episode of the show. Smith also shares his personal take on the evolution of his style, while also addressing concerns for son Jaden wearing a Batman costume to prom (which he also wore at a certain high profile celebrity wedding).
