The Weeknd's "Tell Your Friends" Was Supposed to be a Kanye West Song

Imagine what could have been.

During a recent exchange with Red Bull Music Academy, Kanye West collaborator and G.O.O.D. Music President Che Pope revealed that he, Mike Dean and Kanye originally created what would end up becoming The Weeknd‘s “Tell Your Friends.” The track was intended to feature bars from Kanye, but the trio of artists decided to gift Abel with the song instead. Along with that noteworthy bit of information, Pope also spoke on a range of topics and shared several stories concerning Kanye and G.O.O.D. Music.
