The heritage luxury brand is seeking to compete in the wearable technology race with its own version of a smartwatch, dubbed the TAG Heuer Connected. The Intel-backed design fuses the 150-year-old Swiss company’s time-honored mechanics and craftsmanship with innovative features for the digital age. In addition to a perpetual face and customizable functions that are always on, the watch is befitted with RaceChrono Pro capability, Google Fit, directional wind and weather monitoring, along with thousands of apps available via Android wear technology. For those who prefer to go back to an analog version, TAG Heuer is also offering the chance to exchange the smartwatch for a Carrera at the end of the two-year warranty. The Connected Watch is available to purchase now via TAG Heuer’s website and retails for $1,500 USD.
