In a highly-publicized album sales showdown between Justin Bieber and One Direction, the Biebs’ Purpose edges out OD’s Made in the AM and debuts No. 1 on Billboard‘s Top 200 album charts. Justin’s LP is also the biggest debut of 2015, selling 522,000 in pure album sales and 649,000 with streams included. This marks Justin’s sixth No. 1 album and draws the biggest sales + streaming number in music history. His Def Jam Records labelmates Logic and Jeezy both debut in the top five with their new albums, with The Incredible True Story landing No. 3 (118,000 in pure album sales, 135,000 with streams) and Church In These Streets at No 4 (98,000 pure album sales, 107,000 with streams.)
