Wingsuit Racers Plummet From 8,000 Feet in Red Bull's New Sport
As if wingsuits weren’t already hardcore enough.
This year sees the second Red Bull Aces wingsuit slalom racing competition ever to be held, marking the continued maturation of one of the most high-octane sports in existence. Each round, four wingsuit racers jump out of a helicopter at 8,000 feet and must fly through five airborne gates, before pulling the parachute and landing in a drop zone. The winner must not only complete the course in the shortest time, but also pass through all of the gates in the correct fashion. Watch the video above for some heart-pounding action.
