Fight Aliens in Your Living Room With Microsoft HoloLens
Congratulations, you’ve lived long enough to see the future.
Since its mind-blowing Minecraft demo at E3 2015, the Microsoft HoloLens has become one of the most promising and anticipated platforms for virtual reality gaming. Building on this hype, Microsoft opened its October 2015 event in New York with another demonstration of another game called Project X-Ray, which upped the excitement surrounding this device by several factors. As seen in the video above, a Microsoft employee dons the wireless headset (which will amazingly function independently of any PC) and launches the game, upon which a hologram laser gun unfolds around his hand and alien arachnid robots burst through the wall, which he subsequently destroys with said firearm. Watch the demo above and get pumped for when the first batch of developer’s edition HoloLens ships out in the first quarter of 2016.
