Adele's "Hello" Music Video Shattered Vevo's Single-Day Views Record
Nearly 28 million views in just 24 hours.
Adele unexpectedly dropped “Hello” last week and fans were understandably stoked given that the 25 cut is her first track in about three years. So stoked in fact that the single’s sepia-filtered, Xavier Dolan-directed music video shattered Vevo’s single-day record for views. The piece was viewed nearly 28 million times in the 24 hours after it was uploaded, smashing Taylor Swift’s 20.1 million views for “Bad Blood.” Swift does hold the record, however, for all-time Vevo views: “Blank Space” has been watched over a whopping 1.2 billion times.
